We are a software platform, not a professional advisory service.

Housing Allowance Helper is not an accounting firm, law firm, or a substitute for professional tax advice. The information, reports, and estimates we provide are meant to help you and your church keep good records. They are not tax, legal, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for ensuring your housing allowance complies with IRS regulations (including Publication 517). We cannot guarantee that your expenses, designations, or reports will be accepted in the event of an IRS audit.

2. AI-Assisted Features

To make your life easier, some features use artificial intelligence, such as receipt scanning and the in-app help assistant. AI systems can misread information and make mistakes.

• Your Responsibility: You agree to review and verify all AI-generated data (such as scanned receipt totals) before relying on it for your official records.

3. Your Account and Data

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree that the information you provide us is accurate and that you are authorized to submit expenses for the household in question.

4. Plans and Usage Limits

You can use Housing Allowance Helper free of charge. Some features, such as FRV report generation and AI receipt scanning, are part of a paid Pro plan or have usage limits on the free plan. If you buy a paid plan in the future, we will show you the price, renewal terms, and refund policy before you pay.

5. Limitation of Liability

We work hard to make the software reliable, but we are not responsible for the outcomes of your tax filings. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Housing Allowance Helper and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Specifically, we are not liable for any IRS penalties, audit findings, rejected deductions, or back-taxes incurred by you.

6. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
